This notice describes the processing of personal data connected with browsing the static Pipote Restaurant and Pizzeria website and with contacts voluntarily initiated by the user.

2. Website scope
pizzeriapipote.it is a static showcase website for Pipote Restaurant and Pizzeria and is published through GitHub Pages. It does not include contact forms, newsletters, reserved areas, ecommerce, online payments, embedded booking systems, analytics, advertising pixels, embedded social widgets or maps loaded through iframes.
Telephone, email, Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps links allow the user to voluntarily initiate contact or visit an external service.
3. Data processed, purposes and legal bases
Technical browsing
During a visit, the IP address, request date and time, requested URL, user agent, technical headers and response code may be processed. These data are necessary to deliver pages, ensure security and availability and diagnose faults. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the proper operation and security of the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Voluntary contacts
If the user contacts the business by telephone, email, Facebook, Instagram or another independently chosen channel, the data provided are processed to answer the request. The legal basis is taking steps at the request of the data subject and, where applicable, the controller's legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
Legal obligations and protection of rights
Data connected with requests or relationships with the business may be processed to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. The legal bases are compliance with a legal obligation and legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.
4. Cookies, tracking and fonts
In its current configuration, the website does not use first-party or third-party cookies, does not write data to localStorage or sessionStorage, and does not integrate analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting, iframes or embedded widgets. For this reason, no consent banner is displayed.
The Fraunces and Inter typefaces are hosted locally together with images, video and the PDF menu; they are not requested from Google Fonts or other external providers. If cookies or tracking tools that are not strictly technical are added in the future, the website and this notice must be updated before activation and, where required, prior consent must be obtained.
5. Hosting and recipients
The website is published through GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc. GitHub states that when a GitHub Pages website is visited, the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes. Technical data may be processed by providers used by GitHub to distribute and protect the service, in accordance with its documentation and privacy notice.
The controller does not use these technical data to identify or profile visitors and has no traffic analysis tools available through the website.
6. Links to external services
The page contains ordinary links to Facebook / Meta, Instagram and Google Maps. No components from these services are embedded: a link is activated only when the user chooses to select it. From that point onward, the external provider's terms and privacy notice apply.
The map screenshot displayed on the website is a locally hosted image and does not, by itself, establish a connection to Google.
7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
GitHub and providers involved in delivering the service may process technical data in countries outside the European Economic Area, particularly the United States. Any transfers take place under the providers' terms and the safeguards required by applicable law, such as adequacy decisions, the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, where applicable.
Meta and Google receive browser data only after the user voluntarily opens the relevant external links.
8. Retention and provision of data
Technical logs are retained by GitHub and its providers for the periods established in their respective policies and as necessary for operation, security and diagnostics. Data voluntarily communicated to the controller are retained for the time needed to handle the request and, if a contractual relationship or legal obligation arises, for the periods required by applicable law.
Technical browsing data are necessary to receive the website pages. Providing data by telephone, email or external services is optional; failure to provide them may make it impossible to answer the request.
9. Data subject rights
In the cases provided for by Articles 15-22 GDPR, the data subject may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Requests may be sent to pizzeriapipote2026@gmail.com.
The right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority remains unaffected. In Italy, this is the Italian Data Protection Authority.
10. Security and updates
The website is designed according to the principle of data minimisation: locally hosted resources, no forms or user databases on the website side, no persistent browser storage and no client-side tracking. Publication through GitHub Pages involves the technical processing required to deliver, secure and keep the pages available.
This notice may be updated when the website, external services, technical provider or applicable obligations change. The date shown at the top identifies the latest published revision.
